Candidate for Vice President/President Elect - Wanda Ellenburg MSN RN CPAN

Wanda Ellenburg has been actively involved on the ILSPAN Board for the past 8 years. She served as the District II Director for two terms. For the past four years, Wanda has been the ILSPAN Treasurer. During this time, accounting software was implemented that allows for more precise budget planning and provides a more accurate financial picture. As Vice President/President-elect, Wanda will continue to serve ILSPAN and its members in the leadership role by continuing to maintain financial responsibility while supporting educational and scholarship opportunities for members. She will work to support ILSPAN members through interactions with ASPAN by providing education and direction for our profession of perianesthesia nursing. Wanda received ASPAN’s Above and Beyond Service Recognition in 2011.

Wanda lives in Springfield IL where she has been employed by Memorial Medical Center, a Magnet facility, for almost 34 years. She is the Nurse Manager of a 25-bed Phase I and Phase II PACU. Wanda completed her MSN degree three years ago and is CPAN certified. She looks forward to continuing to serve both ASPAN and ILSPAN on the Board of Directors as Vice President/President Elect.

Candidate for Treasurer - Debbie Walker BS RN CPAN

Debbie Walker is the lead in PACU at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island IL. She is currently completing her second term as District II Director. Debbie has worked in the PACU for the last 22 years. She is a diploma graduate of Moline Lutheran School for Nurses and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of St. Francis. She serves on the ASPAN Strategic Work Teams for Safety and Membership/Marketing. Debbie will continue to promote membership and education with the local ILSPAN chapter and AORN. She looks forward to continuing to serve on the ILSPAN Board and her goal is to keep ILSPAN in a good financial status and support education opportunities for the members.

Candidate for District II Director - Keith Schumacher, BSN, RN, CPAN

Keith is a staff nurse in the PACU at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. He has many years in perianesthesia nursing including Educator over Pre-Anesthesia, PACU, the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Area, and Day Surgery areas at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. Keith is an active ILSPAN member. He has served as President, Vice-President, and Past President/Government Affairs Chair. He has an ADN from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL and a BSN from Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University in Normal, IL. Keith is CPAN certified. Keith serves ASPAN on the Committees for Clinical Practice and Education Approver and the Strategic Work Team for Membership/Marketing.
